Introduction:
University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is
one of the world's leading providers of international qualifications
and assessments. It has a broad range of products that have
been created with international audience in mind, making them
interesting and relevant for students. It also works hard
to make sure CIE qualifications are accepted and recognised
by universities, education providers and employers across
the globe.
CIE is part of the University of Cambridge Local Examinations
Syndicate (UCLES), which is itself a department of the University
of Cambridge. It operates alongside OCR, which provides
examination and assessment services in the UK, and Cambridge
ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), which delivers
a portfolio of qualifications for foreigners learning English.
UCLES has developed and promoted qualifications around
the world for almost 150 years and has seen the need for
internationally recognised qualifications continue to grow.
CIE was formally established in 1998 to provide high quality,
leading edge qualifications that meet the ongoing demands
of employers and educators the world over.
Cambridge International Diplomas assess the practical application
of career-based knowledge across a range of business areas,
providing candidates with a globally accepted and valued
qualification that demonstrates their ability to both educators
and employers.
